if i only could i surely would

I would love to snag one of these dresses and a pair or two of some Ferragamo heels to go with. That is, if I could afford it and provided I was able to wear it without one of my kids' nearby ready to pounce on me with sand, dirt, mud and other producers of stains.

I don't ever wear heels any more - sadly, I don't even own one decent pair. It just doesn't make much sense. I don't go anywhere that merits wearing them. I use to rock a heel often, now I rock a Keen or a Target slip-on,like the ones I'm wearing here (they were $2.99, and they are awesome).

I want this Peter Som pixel-print dress. (minus dyed pink fox fur, thank you very much)

Here is a slightly more affordable version of this abstract print dress trend, from Elie Tahari. I really love this one too.

And this Richard Chai one looks sweet. If you don't have hips. I'm thinking that black stuff on the side could go either way as flattering/not-so-flattering.

All of these are in the July Harper's Bazaar.

I just realized in searching back for that picture of me in my Target shoes that this blog is two-years old this month. Perhaps I need to celebrate by purchasing all of the above items on a credit card.

As a doctor's wife, don't you have some country club luncheons you could rock these dresses at?

I don't think they let my kind in. But you are hilarious just the same for mentioning that.

I bet Tar-jay will be coming out with a clone of those dresses soon (minus the fur trim of course). And I say you should pick up a pair of wedge espadrilles at Payless and wear them on a movie/ice cream date with Dr. Hubby. Remind him how a heel makes a woman's calves and butt look GREAT!

I married a man who is exactly my height.. so heels are not allowed... fine by me... I'd break a freaking ankle for sure...

I don't like dressing up at all in fact... you know what? I don't even like getting dressed...

Congratulations on turning [blog] two!
Put away the credit card and scrape some change from the couch cushions for another pair of comfy slip-ons.
